More Drug Charges Lodged Against Southington Man

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A Southington man who’s already facing a number of drug charges following his arrest by the Statewide Narcotics Task Force was arrested Monday on another series of charges involving drug sales.

Southington Police said they arrested the suspect about 9:35 a.m. on Dec. 7, when he appeared in Bristol Superior Court on a separate drug-related case.

Bryan Joyce, 29, of Southington, was in court for his Nov. 19 arrest by the Narcotics Task Force on charges of sale of certain illegal drugs, operating a drug factory, use of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of an unstamped drug, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and three counts of possession of marijuana, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website. Since his arrest, he has been held in lieu of $75,000 bond.

On Monday, Southington Police charged Joyce with four counts of sale of a controlled substance (marijuana). The new charges stem from incidents in July, August and September, according to the Judicial Branch.

Police said they would not release further details because the arrest warrants have been sealed by the court.

Joyce remains in custody as a $50,000 bond was set on each of the new charges. Joyce is scheduled to return to Bristol Superior Court on Jan. 21 on all of the cases, according to the Judicial Branch.
