The show will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at 111 N. Main St., with a live DJ and several club members decorating their vehicles for the ‘Trunk or Treat.’ There will also be raffles and giveaways, with a portion of ticket sales benefitting the local Boys & Girls Club. The club will also give out trophies and cash prizes. Some of the prize categories include best male and female costume, best trunk, best lighting display, best kids costume and best of show for vehicles.
Club President Mark Campbell said the club, whose name represents the “next generation” of auto enthusiasts, will be bringing out a “great variety” of vehicles including muscle cars, sports cars, “old school cars” and imports.

In addition to their love of automobiles, the club, which Campbell said was founded in 2019, is also about giving back to the community.
In 2019, NeXgen Car Club helped to put on a car show for the city in Rockwell Park.
“We brought out about 10 cars and gave out candy for the community,” Campbell said. “There were also food trucks and Bristol Parks & Rec assisted as well.”
Last year, the car show was canceled due to covid-19, but the club still gave back via a toy and food drive for the Salvation Army.
On Oct. 2 of this year, NeXgen Car Club held a “Cars and Cops” car show with the Bristol Police Department. Proceeds from that event helped to support the Boys & Girls Club, Autism Speaks and Brian’s Angels
“We wanted to show our support for law enforcement and to bring the community together,” Campbell said. “I grew up in the Bronx and I was raised not to like the police. I’m now 48 years old and I’m trying to change the trend in our own community by telling people that we need to support our law enforcement in the community.”
Since 2019, NeXgen Car Club has grown to include a New England Chapter and a Tri-State Chapter. Next year, Campbell said, there will be events held in seven other states besides Connecticut.
“Members don't have to pay dues, but we do have rules and regulations to abide by, such as no street racing, etc.,” Campbell said. “We want to keep our name respectable.”
