Price Chopper Issues Ice Cream Recall

Because of the “possible presence of metal shavings”, Price Chopper and Market 32 Supermarkets are issuing a voluntary recall on 48-ounce containers of Central Market Classics Caramel Caribou Ice Cream.

The UPC code is # 41735 07230.

According to the company’s recall announcement, most of the customers who purchased these items have already been contacted through Price Chopper’s SoundBite notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s AdvantEdge (loyalty) card to alert those households that may have purchased the product in question.

Customers with the affected product should return it to their local Price Chopper for a full refund.
