Q Whiskey Kitchen Opening Outdoor Beer Garden

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington's Q Whiskey Kitchen is opening a new outdoor beer garden next week, officials said.

Called the QWK X Night Shift Beer Garden, the restaurant is launching it with Night Shift Brewing, a Massachusetts-based craft brand. It's decorated with tropical foliage, officials said, and is set to open on Wednesday, May 11.

The garden will "exclusively showcase" Night Shift's drinks, officials said. The company's beer lineup and hard seltzers will be sold, and frozen cocktails are on the menu as well.

Drinks will be served on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-11 p.m. and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to last call.

The restaurant will run drink specials, promotions and giveaways throughout the summer, officials said.

Night Shift Brewing was launched out of an Everett, Massachusetts warehouse in 2012. Its co-owners had begun making drinks for their family and friends five years before, and today, the company distributes beer throughout New England and beyond.
