Southington Driver Faces DUI, Narcotics Possession Charges
Southington Police obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect who they say had heroin in his possession while driving.

A 56-year-old man, who Southington Police say was seen driving erratically around town, is facing driving under the influence and narcotics possession charges.
According to police, Donald Bisson, 56, of Cheshire, surrendered at police headquarters at 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 11, after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant alleges that during the late afternoon of Oct. 20 a witness reported Bisson was operating his vehicle in an erratic manner on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Meriden Avenue and Route 10.
Police said that officers made contact with Bisson and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Further investigation showed Bisson was operating the vehicle under the influence and also in possession of heroin at the time of the incident, according to police.

Bisson was charged with reckless driving, operating under the influence of drugs and illegal possession of narcotics. He was processed and released on a $1,000 bond and was given an appearance date of Dec. 28 for the Bristol Court.
