Southington Probes Fiery Pickup Truck Crash
The truck slammed into a tree early Saturday morning, Aug. 9, and burst into flames.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police and firefighters rushed to a fully involved pickup truck fire early Saturday morning, resulting in the complete incineration of the vehicle.
According to the Southington Fire Department, the accident happened early Saturday morning on Main Street.
SFD units arrived on scene and found a vehicle into a tree, "fully involved in fire."

"Crews extinguished the fire and the operator was transported to a local hospital," wrote the SFD.
Southington Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2033 reported that the operator of the pickup was actually out of the vehicle when crews arrived.

Images posted by WFSB Channel 3 showed the charred remains of the truck.
