UPDATED: Work Continues at Truck Rollover Scene

An on-ramp of I-84 in Southington remains closed.

Update: 3:40 p.m.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Crews are still at the scene of the tractor-trailer rollover crash scene on I-84 in Southington.

The crash occurred about noon Tuesday and at 3:40 p.m. workers could be seen putting inflatable pillows beneath the trailer portion of the vehicle that lies on its side on the on-ramp of eastbound Exit 28.

In footage via the Connecticut Department of Transportation traffic camera, at least three heavy duty wreckers equipped with cranes are are on the ramp that has been closed to traffic.

It’s not known when the scene will be cleared.

There are at least two heavy duty wreckers on the scene of an overturned tractor trailer crash that closed the Exit 28 on-ramp of I-84 eastbound in Southington.

The crash occurred about noon Tuesday. It’s not known how long it will take to clear the scene.
