SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington resident has been chosen to serve as president of the Connecticut Historical Society's board of trustees, officials announced this week.

Sylvia Bush Kelly, who has served on the board since July 2017, was elected to a one-year term as president at the society's annual Members' Meeting in May.

At the same meeting, members elected three people — including Secretary of State Denise Merrill and Rep. Tammy Exum (D-West Hartford, Avon, Farmington) to the board of trustees.
