Southington YMCA Offering Lifeguard Training
The Y also is offering lifeguard recertification classes.
The Southington Community YMCA will be offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard Class beginning Monday, Jan. 11.
The class will run on Mondays from 5:30 to 9 p.m. until Feb. 23. Participants must be 15 years old to participate. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory to receive certification.
The YMCA will also host a Lifeguard Recertification on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendance both days is required.
