Southington's 'Music On The Green' Series Starts May 29
In addition to a diverse array of music, the free summer-long music series will feature classic car shows as well.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One of the more anticipated local events of the summer season in Southington starts next week at the beloved town green courtesy of the town's rec department.
Southington's 30th annual "Music on the Green" outdoor concert series will take place on Wednesdays, May 29, to Sept. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Southington Town Green (Route 10/Main Street).

A diverse array of performers are slated, from hits of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, to country music, the Beatles, and all sorts of other types of ear-pleasing work.
Admission is free and guests are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.

In the event of inclement weather, concerts may be postponed to Thursday evening.
A postponement or cancellation, if necessary, will be announced by 2:00 pm on the day of the concert.
Meanwhile, free parking is available in the municipal lots located behind Southington Town Hall (lower and upper lot entrances on Berlin Avenue), on Riccio Way (entrance on Main Street at traffic light by People's United Bank), and off of Center Street.
During many of the concert events, classic car enthusiasts will also be present to show off their automotive creations, adding another dimension to the night's events.
