Southington's 'Prom Shop' Still Has Free Attire For Local HS Students

The popular 'Prom Shop' is open for students from Southington and it will be open for an extra day on Saturday, April 5.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The town's free shop aimed at helping local teens with their prom outfits and accessories will be open an extra day this weekend.

Southington Community Services announced this week that its popular "Prom Shop" at the Plantsville Congregational Church will be open Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The church, located at 109 Church St., Plantsville, will feature free, donated prom attire for boys and girls, along with numerous accessories.

All items are free, regardless of one's income status.

Last month, the shop was open, and there are still items available for Southington teens looking for prom attire/accessories.

The shop is for Southington High School students or high school students living in Southington, with an ID required to shop.
