The show is produced by Nicole McWilliams and Drama Advisor and Director Chris Perkins. Perkins said it will include a cast of 60 to 90 students and a crew of about 30 students.
“This will be the first big show in my time as advisor,” he said. “It is also the 10th anniversary of the last time we did The Wizard of Oz. It will feature sets and costumes designed by students. It will be a full production with makeup, lights and sound. Some of our drama club alumni will be assisting with choreography and music. Our closing show on April 9 will feature a special event with these alumni.”
Perkins said the Terryville High School Drama Club is “very fortunate” to not only see wide participation among students for shows like this, but also strong community turnout.
“We are very lucky to have the community’s support in terms of both sponsorships and physical attendance.”
Perkins said that everyone who auditions will get a part which plays to their talents.
Auditions will be by appointment. To schedule an appointment, visit forms.gle/tpZracvVqpjc5QdH7 and fill out the Google form. Those who do will receive an audition confirmation email with a complete information packet or a printed copy, which can be picked up from their school’s main office, the School to Career Center at Terryville High School or Terryville Public Library.
