The Halloween Party will feature a Haunted House and “trunk or treat” activity where children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and take treats from the decorated vehicles of Lions Club members.

Terryville Lions Club President Tracy Dubois said the Lion’s Club is glad to bring back its traditional, family-friendly Halloween party after it was canceled last year due to the pandemic. She emphasized precautions will be put into place to ensure safety for visitors.
“This year we’re offering the Haunted House again but masks will be required to enter,” she said. “The Haunted House will also be socially distanced and we’ll be able to monitor how many people go in at a time.”
Dubois said the Halloween Party will be a “wonderful” time for families. The Lion’s Club has offered the Halloween Party for many years, Dubois said, and families have come to look forward to it year after year.
“It’s going to be lots of fun,” she said. “We’ll have lots of Lions Club and Leos (youth division of the Lion’s Club) members volunteering. They have been working for several weeks to set everything up – putting up a lot of fun decorations and preparing the treat bags.”
The Terryville Lions Club is also holding a food collection for the Plymouth Food Pantry. Visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to those in need.
“Donations would be greatly appreciated,” said Dubois. “We hope to see you there.”
