“We have been supporting St. Jude’s for 29 years,” he said. “They do incredible work. Years ago, the band Alabama performed at Cadillac Ranch and now most country artists are glad to perform to support St. Jude’s. We have a representative from St. Jude’s who comes out to all of our concerts, so the money is not going through a collection agency.”

Nicholson encouraged people to come out for a night of great music for a great cause.

“Most of these performers are new to Cadillac Ranch,” said Nicholson. “Kip Moore is supposed to be really good and Priscilla Block and Caroline Jones are becoming very popular. Jordan Oaks came here once before and the crowd liked him a lot. He knows a lot of local people.”

Cadillac Ranch, which originally opened in 1992 in Plainville, relocated to Southington in 1997 and is known for offering country line dancing, a mechanical riding bull and American pub food. Nicholson said that Cadillac Ranch has also hosted concerts from 189 major performing artists in the country music scene in the last 30 years.

The “Concert for Kids” is sponsored by Love, Tito's, Tower Energy, Pratt & Whitney, Window Nation, Trantolo & Trantolo and Lone River Ranch Water.

Tickets for general admission is $50 and VIP admission is $75. All proceeds will to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
