The town of Southington is seeking candidates to fill two municipal jobs.

Assistant Animal Control Officer

Public Works Laborer

The Town of Southington is seeking a Public Works Laborer for the Highway Department. This position is a full time position, 40 hours with mandatory overtime. Applicants must hold a CDL license. Laborers must be able to lift and carry, up to and including 75 pounds. Infrequently, there are times in which laborer may need to exceed the 75; up to and including 100 pounds in weight. Additionally, individuals will need the physical dexterity to grasp tools, twist and turn and walk on uneven ground. Laborer will be working outside for lengths of time in which they may be exposed to severe heat and cold. Application deadline is Dec. 31. Salary is $24.21 per hour.
