Water Main Break Impacts Water Service In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A water main break on one local street is causing water problems for some residents.

According to the Southington Water Works, the rupture happened on Aircraft Road, west of Newell Street on Sunday evening.

As a result, officials said, the community at the end of Aircraft Road is without water.

"Our crew is en route and we’ll provide an update on the restoration of water service once we get more information," wrote the water department on Facebook.

As of 6:10 a.m. Monday, no further information has been released about the situation.
