Good morning, South Windsor! Today is Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013; there are 112 days left in the year.

This isn’t my line, but I think it’s worth repeating. Once a building is completed, shouldn’t it be called a built?

1. The Republican primary for the Town Council is today from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

2. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers/Madden Room.

3. The South Windsor Jaycees has invited all those interested in becoming a part of the South Windsor Jaycees to stop by Boston Pizza today from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Anyone 21-40 that wants to help their community is welcome! Appetizers provided! More Jaycee info www.swjaycees.org.

4. Check out this open blog - the place where you can give political candidates your endorsement.

5. Today is the first day of the scholastic sports season. There’s a full slate of games and matches, including South Windsor versus Hall in field hockey. I know a certain West Hartford editor who may be covering the game.
