Accident on Avery Street Results in Minor Injuries
Accident took place Wednesday evening.
Two people sustained minor injuries Wednesday evening in a serious head-on collision on Avery Street, according to police.
South Windsor Chief of Police Matt Reed said that the collision - which took place around 5 p.m. - looked a lot worse than the outcome for the drivers of a 2011 Subaru Forester and a 2002 Toyota RAV4. Reed said that the drivers’ injuries were relatively minor because the vehicles’ airbags deployed.
The South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident, as vehicle fluids spilled out onto the road, Reed said.
Neither the identity of the drivers, nor their conditions were available as of 3 p.m. Thursday. Check back with Patch as information becomes available.
