Friends of Hannah Country Music Benefit Concert to Be Held in South Windsor
Benefit to take place on June 8.

By LuAnne Porcello
Fifteen-year-old South Windsor resident Hannah Patrie loved country music.
Meeting Hunter Hayes in January of 2012 was one of the best nights of her life.
Several of her friends - Eric Koboski, Sam Nunes and Jeanette Porcello - thought of the idea of a benefit concert to honor Hannah, who passed away in June 2012.
Hannah and Jeanette attended several country concerts together, including meeting Hunter Hayes together. At the Rascal Flatts concert, just prior to Hannah's untimely passing, the two girls met Cory Myers from Connecticut's country music station, 92.5.
The girls were goofing around doing a "Red Solo Cup" video.
After Hannah passed away, Jeanette got in touch with Cory who was more than interested in helping out with the benefit cause.
So on Saturday night, June 8 at 7 p.m., the auditorium at Timothy Edwards Middle School will be a place where folks can go to hear some of Hannah's talented friends sing songs in her honor.
South Windsor High School's Choral Spectrum, Treble Choir, Dance Team and Understaffed (a male a cappella group) as well as members of C.A.S.T. theater group of Manchester, of which Hannah was a former member.
Cory Myers from Connecticut’s country station 92.5 and Hannah’s brother, Brendan Patrie, will host this exciting event. There will be raffles and a few items on a LIVE auction, including a Hunter Hayes signed guitar and Yankee tickets for a July 12 7 p.m. game. Bring cash and/or your checkbooks!
"It's a night to remember Hannah with her incredible, fun personality, and her love for country music. We hope to remember her with joy on this night and raise a lot of money for her scholarship, The Hannah Patrie Memorial Scholarship Fund, administered by the South Windsor chapter of Dollars for Scholars," said LuAnne Porcello, one of the organizers of the event.
Tickets can be ordered on the SWHS Music Department web page or at: http://swperformances.ticketleap.com/
Adults are $15, students and seniors are $10.
Adults must be present at the LIVE auction, students under 18 years of age will not be able to bid.
Some of the raffles are directly from Nashville: (Opryland and the Bluebird Cafe!) Wear your country attire, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats are encouraged!!!
Come out and support this wonderful cause!
