Good morning, South Windsor! Today is Monday, June 3, 2013. There are 211 days left in the year.
So I took some time off from my Daily 5s, but I’m back. The David Wright jersey is a shout out to my friend, Jeff, who is - sadly - a Mets fan. Jeff’s birthday was a week ago and I promised I’d do something as a shout out to him.
I won’t admit this to him, but Jeff is the best friend a man could ask for. Don’t know how I got so lucky to have him in my corner, but I do and I’m not about to convince him otherwise.
Anyhoo, enough of the sappy stuff. Last week (while my wife was away), I invented a new day: Someday.
Someday is the day on which I do SOME of the things I’m supposed to accomplish. Like mowing some of the lawn, vacuuming some of the house, cleaning out some of the fridge and doing some of the dishes.
Oddly, my wife did not revel in the comedic genius behind Someday. She just told me to be quiet and finish the stuff I have to do. Maybe one day (Someday?) she’ll appreciate it.
Here’s your Daily 5:

3. South Windsor High sprinter Michelle Otaluka will take part in the State Open track meet today. She will run in the 100 and 200. Otaluka is just a sophomore, yet she won two state Class L titles this year. GO MICHELLE!
