
Angie King and Tim Savidge were named this year’s Scholar Athletes from South Windsor High School.
King, who played field hockey and lacrosse at South Windsor High, will attend Quinnipiac University, where she will play field hockey. King was named All-State in field hockey last fall.
Savidge is an All-State swimmer who will attend Tufts University, where he plans to continue his swimming career.
The awards are provided to two high school seniors - one boy and one girl - from the CIAC’s member highs schools “whose academic and athletic careers have been exemplary, whose personal standards and achievements are a model to others, and who possess high levels of integrity, self-discipline and courage,” according to the CIAC website.
The banquet was held on May 5 at the Aqua Turf in Southington.
