Message from the South Windsor Superintendent Regarding Accident

Parents urged contact teachers, counselors or principals if children need support or grief counseling.

The following message was sent by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kate Carter to South Windsor parents:

A message to South Windsor families and school district staff…

As you may be aware, a car accident resulting in two fatalities occurred in South Windsor last night.  Five teenagers were involved including two South Windsor residents, a current senior at South Windsor High School and a graduate of the Class of 2012, who were injured. The South Windsor Police Department has just released the names of the five victims. ... Please be sure to contact your child’s teacher, counselor, or principal if your child is in need of support or grief counseling in response to this tragedy. I know the entire South Windsor community joins me in sending our thoughts and prayers to the families caring for the injured and the parents mourning the unimaginable loss of their children.

Kate Carter, Superintendent of South Windsor Schools
