Jake Gilbert, of Boy Scout Troop 880 in South Windsor, is the recent recipient of the Eagle Scout Award, the highest honor a Boy Scout can receive.
Gilber earned his award by "planning and coordinating the construction and installation of a 60 foot boardwalk in Wapping Park," according to a news release on the Hartford Courant Web site.
