South Windsor residents can tell summer is fast approaching not only by the rising temperatures, but by the Rotary's annual car raffle.
This year, a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro RS is up for grabs.
Only 75 to 100 of the original 350 tickets are on sale. Tickets are $150 apiece. The drawing will be held on July 17.
Proceeds of the annual fundraiser, which has been going on for over 30 years, will go to the South Windsor High Scholarship Fund.
According to Rotary member and raffle co-chair Chris LaRiviere, the raffle is expected to bring in $20,000.
"This is what we (Rotary) do," LaRiviere said in a telephone interview. "We raise money for the community. ... The work the club does is phenomenal."
