Bakery And Cafe That's A Household Name Set To Open Latest Location — In Stafford

STAFFORD, CT — LuAnn's Bakery & Cafe, a restaurant that has become a household name in Tolland County, is set to open its third location — in Stafford — Tuesday.

The new LuAnn's is opening at 42 Main St. in Stafford with hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location is the former Stafford Coffee Company.

The grand opening comes with a special promotion.

"The first 100 people Tuesday get a “I was in the First 100” pin, and for those who got them eight years ago in Ellington, they know how valuable those have been in the years to come,' the owners said. "

An official ribbon cutting is to be staged at 1 p.m.

The Stafford location joins the main restaurant at 238 Somers Road in Ellington and the drive-through window at the Big Y outlet (across from the main supermarket) at 140 West Road.

A Hartford location is being planned for the fall.

LuAnn's is know for its "fresh, wholesome" meals and baked goods made daily with family recipes.
