Festivus is a secular, humorous holiday celebrated on Dec. 23. It was made popular in the Dec. 18, 1997episode of the TV sitcom "Seinfeld" and observed by the Cosatanza family.

Festivus is an anti-commercial alternative to Christmas. It's main dec]oration is a plain aluminum pole, and the celebration includes the "airing of grievances," a meatloaf dinner, and "feats of strength," which turned out on the episode to being a wrestling match with George's father.
