WILLINGTON, CT — A Christmas Day car crash left a utility pole and vehicle wrecked in Willington, state police said.

The crash took place at 2:14 p.m. on Dec. 25, according to a crash report.

According to a crash report, a 29-year-Old Willington man was heading north on Route 320 in a 2016 Kia Soul. About a half-mile before the Exit 71 on-ramp to Interstate 84, the man lost control of the Kia on a curve, veered to the right and struck the pole, according to a crash report.

The driver escaped injury, state police said.
