STAFFORD, CT — A concerned Uber driver's call to state police led to the arrest of a local man.

The case dates back to June 2, when an Uber driver showed up to at a local address to pick up a woman who had ordered a ride, according to an arrest report.

Instead, the driver was met by a pair of seemingly intoxicated men outside the residence who dismissed him in an expletive-laced display of aggression, according to an arrest report.

The driver then alerted state policer to what he surmised to be a suspicious situation.

One of the men and the woman who ordered the original ride were instead picked up by another Uber car and taken out of state, according to an arrest report.

When state police tracked them down, the man was charged with third-degree criminal ,mischief and disorderly conduct. A warrant was applied for to arrest the man, who was charged on Nov. 18, state police said.
