STAFFORD, CT — A scooter and pickup truck tangled on a road in Stafford, state police said.

State police made a report on the April 22 crash available this week.

At 5:18 p.m. that day, a two-wheeled electric scooter with a 14-year-old Stafford boy aboard was heading south on Gulf Road, according to a crash report. A 32-year-old Tolland woman driving a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck was also traveling south in Gulf Road and attempted to pass the scooter, according to a crash report.

That's when the boy lost control of the scooter and crashed into the side of the pickup, according to a crash report.

He escaped with a minor injury, state police said.
