Enfield Cleaning Contractor Charged In Stafford Residential Jewelry Theft Investigation

STAFFORD, CT — A cleaning contractor has been charged with felony larceny in connection with jewelry stolen from a home in Stafford and pawned at an Enfield shop, state police said.

The theft was reported on Sept. 18 and, on Oct. 13, 34-year-old Enfield resident Sarah Gintick was charged on a warrant with third-degree larceny after a traffic stop, state police said.

According to a warrant, Gintick cleaned an home on Fox run in Stafford every two weeks and at the time of the reported theft, only she and the homeowner had access to a second-floor bedroom.

The stolen items included a gold bracelet with diamonds valued at $1,000 to $1,500, three gold bracelets worth $500 each and a diamond pendant valued at $1,500, according to a warrant.

State police said in a warrant that Gintick's name showed up in a pawn shop database making transactions that included items matching those that were stolen, according to a warrant.
