Firefighters Battle Willington Blaze For 3 Hours

WILLINGTON, CT — Firefighters Tuesday battled a blaze at a home in Willington for three hours.

The fire broke out at about 9:30 a.m. at a house on Village Hill Road, officials said. A Willington Fire Department crew responded and encountered flames engulfing the A-frame-style home.

Multiple mutual aid companies were then dispatched to the residence.

The fire was brought under control at approximately 12:30 p.m. and crews remained at the scene for another two hours after that, officials said.

No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.

The Willington Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause, officials said.
