New Version Of A Culinary Fixture In Stafford Opens
Kolossos Restaurant & Pizza is now open at a new Stafford location.

STAFFORD, CT — The new version of Kolossos Restaurant & Pizza is now open in Stafford.
The restaurant is located at 18 West Stafford Road. The owners proclaimed the opening on Wednesday.
In April, Kolossos, a longtime fixture in town, announced a move from a mainly-vacant plaza on Route 190 to the new location in a free-standing building about 100 yards away, separated by only a Dunkin' Donuts.

Kolossos had been in the Country Village for about 12 years. The new restaurant site was constructed in 1940 and encompasses 3,762 square feet, according to Stafford property records.
While the transition was taking place, the restaurant was temporarily closed.

The only thing separating Kolossos' old and new locations is Dunkin' Donuts.
At the present time, Kolossos is not serving alcohol because it is awaiting a revised liquor permit.
