WILLINGTON, CT — A tractor-trailer driver tried a slick move after his rig hit another at a truck stop in Willington, but police are onto him and are preparing charges, according to a state police crash report.

The incident took place on Aug. 28 at 4:17 p.m. at the Love's truck stop on Polster Road, state police said.

As one tractor-trailer was parked, another, being driven by a 40-year-old Amarillo, Texas, man, began backing into a spot next to it, according to a crash report.

His truck then hit the parked truck on its driver's side, causing minor damage, according to a crash report.

The driver of the first truck, a 25-year-old from Richmond, VA, then confronted the man after it was moved, and the man then fled the truck stop in his rig, according to a crash report.

State police said they are in the process of applying for a warrant in the case.
