Stafford Restaurant On Route 190 Is Moving Down The Street - Literally
The Kolossos Restaurant will temporarily close beginning Monday as it moves into its new freestanding home about 100 yards down the road.

STAFFORD, CT — A longtime restaurant and pizzeria in a mainly-vacant plaza on Route 190 is moving to its own freestanding building - but patrons will not have to adjust very much, as the new location is literally about a hundred yards to the east of the former.
Kolossos Restaurant & Pizza, which has been in the Country Village Shoppes for about a dozen years, will be moving down the street to 18 West Stafford Road, which was the home for more than 50 years to the popular B.A. Muzio Plumbing Company. The new restaurant site was constructed in 1940 and encompasses 3,762 square feet, according to Stafford property records.
As renovations near completion, a new sign for the restaurant is already in place at the building, while the last remnants of the plumbing company's signage are removed.

While the transition is taking place, the restaurant will be temporarily closed beginning Monday. The owners did not indicate how long the closure will last.
The only thing separating Kolossos' old and new locations is Dunkin' Donuts.

An aging 6-unit shopping center built in 1958, the formerly-thriving Country Village Shoppes will be left with only La Beaute Nails & Spa as a tenant once the restaurant moves out.
