A woman in crisis was safely transported to an area hospital after being located by a state police dog team in Willington.

WILLINGTON, CT — A woman in crisis was safely transported to an area hospital after being located by a state police dog team in Willington.
At 11:37 a.m. Monday, state police from the Troop C barracks were dispatched to a residence in Willington, after receiving a report about a woman who was trying to harm herself.
Troopers arrived on scene and determined the woman left the home on foot prior to their arrival according to an incident report.

The woman was reported to be intoxicated and only wearing a bathrobe, according to an incident report
Trooper Ryan Mara and canine Kash arrived on scene just after midnight Tuesday and conducted a track from the home and the woman was located face-down in thick brush off of a road about a quarter-mile away, according to an incident report.

The woman was respondive to troopers when she was located and was safely escorted out of the woods, according to an incident report.
The woman said she had been in the woods for roughly an hour and the temperature at the time of the search was approximately 22 degrees, according to an incident report.
State police said the woman was transported to an area hospital for "further evaluations."
