State Police Looking For Hit-And-Run Driver After Willington Incident

WILLINGTON, CT — State police are looking for the driver of a car that hit another vehicle in a driveway in Willington and then fled the scene.

The incident took place Friday at 8:47 p.m. on Schofield Road, state police said.

According to a crash report, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox sport utility vehicle was parked partially in a driveway and partially in Schofield Road. The owner then hears a crash and it was from a passing car that hit hers, according to a crash report.

The SUV's owner said the offending vehicle appeared to be speeding.

State police said they did not get a description of the offending vehicle. The SUV's taillights were smashed in the incident, according to a crash report.
