Willington Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Collision On Route 32
The fatal crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on Route 32 in Willington, according to state police.

WILLINGTON, CT — A Willington man was killed Tuesday afternoon when the van he was operating crossed the center line on Route 32 and collided with a pickup truck, state police said.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on River Road near the junction of Battye Road. A state police report indicates a northbound 2016 Dodge Ram Promaster 1500 operated by Fred Viets, 37, crossed the double yellow center line and struck a southbound 2020 Dodge Ram 5500 pickup.
Viets was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the truck, a 47-year-old Ellington resident, was taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital with serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
