WILLIMANTIC, CT — Willington's Nathan Yeich made the most of his first start in the net for the Eastern Connecticut State University men's soccer team and came away with Little East Conference Goalkeeper-of-the-Week honors.

In that first start of the season, Nathan Yeich made a career-high 10 saves and allowed just one goal in a 4-1 non-conference win at Framingham State University.

In his first appearance of the year in a mid-week home game against Wesleyan University, Yeich played the final eight scoreless minutes.

In those two appearances, Yeich has a 0.92 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage in 98 total minutes.

It was the first LEC weekly award for Yeich.

Eastern (1-1-2) hosts the University of Massachusetts Boston Saturday at 1 p.m. in its LEC opener. The Warriors are the three-time defending LEC regular-season champions and went on to their sixth LEC playoff title last year.
