Stamford Man Found Dead In New Canaan Woods: Police
Police said the Stamford man was found in a wooded area of New Canaan and declared deceased by a paramedic.
STAMFORD, CT — The body of a Stamford man was found in a wooded area of New Canaan early Tuesday morning, according to New Canaan police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Marc DeFelice said New Canaan officers began assisting Stamford police in a missing persons investigation late Monday evening.
The missing person, who police identified as an adult male Stamford resident, had last been seen working at a New Canaan house under renovation Monday afternoon, according to DeFelice.

Stamford and New Canaan police found the man in a wooded area of town just after midnight on Tuesday. He was declared deceased by a Norwalk Hospital paramedic, DeFelice said.
State police are assisting New Canaan police in this ongoing investigation, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has also been notified, DeFelice said.

DeFelice emphasized there is "no danger to the general public" and noted further details, including the man's identity, will be released at a later time.
