INTEMPO To Host Hispanic Heritage Month Concert Series In Stamford, Greenwich
The series, titled ¡Viva los Andes!, will highlight the musical traditions of the Andes.
STAMFORD, CT — INTEMPO, the Stamford-based music education nonprofit, will host its third annual Hispanic Heritage Month concert series this fall in both Stamford and Greenwich, featuring performances by teaching artists and advanced students.
The series, titled ¡Viva los Andes!, will highlight the musical traditions of the Andes.
Concerts are scheduled for Oct. 4 at the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford, 1101 Bedford St., and Oct. 11 at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave. in Old Greenwich. Both performances begin at 5 p.m.

"Music is a powerful way to honor heritage and bring people together," said INTEMPO CEO Lou Chen in a news release. "These concerts not only celebrate the richness of Latin American culture, but also reflect INTEMPO’s mission to make that culture accessible and inspiring to the entire community."
General admission is $10, while children may attend for free.

Tickets can be purchased on the INTEMPO website. Proceeds will support INTEMPO’s mission to provide culturally relevant music education to under-resourced children.
The nonprofit is also seeking sponsorships to help sustain its programs. Sponsorships start at $100 and support education initiatives that allow young people to participate in music.
