Kids in Crisis Names 3 New Board Members

The new trustees have been long-time volunteers for the children's shelter including Stamford businessman Stanley Galanski.

The Greenwich-based Kids in Crisis emergency shelter has announced its new class to the Board of Directors.

Darien resident M. Briggs Forelli is president and CEO of Precision Gear Inc., a privately held aerospace gear and shaft parts manufacturer located in College Point, New York. Forelli has been a member of the annual Kids in Crisis golf tournament fundraiser, Kids Challenge, since the early days of the tournament and was Co-Chair of this year’s tournament.

New Canaan resident Aimee Tusa is involved with many community organizations including the Newcomers Club of New Canaan, the Young Women’s League, First Presbyterian Nursery School and East Elementary School in New Canaan. Prior to this, she spent much of her career working for companies such as Calvin Klein, Estee Lauder and Harper’s Bazaar. Tusa co-chaired the very successful Kids in Crisis Spring Fling last year, and will be working on this year’s gala as well.

Also named to the board is Ridgefield resident Stanley A. Galanski, president and CEO of The Navigators Group, Inc. an international specialty insurance holding company headquartered in Stamford. Galanski is involved in the community and has been a long-time member of the Kids in Crisis Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon Committee, having his company take the title sponsorship of the event. He lives in Ridgefield with his wife, and has three adult children.

Kids in Crisis is Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families and is located in Cos Cob.
