Lawmakers Celebrate $70K In Funding For Stamford's Pacific House
Pacific House will receive a total of $70,000 over the next two years, $35,000 each year in Fiscal Years 26 and 27.
STAMFORD, CT — Lawmakers and the End Homelessness Caucus last week celebrated state funding for Pacific House that was approved by the Connecticut General Assembly during the 2025 session as part of the biennial state budget.
Pacific House will receive a total of $70,000 over the next two years, $35,000 each year in Fiscal Years 26 and 27.
Pacific House has been a leader in preventing and ending homelessness in Fairfield County for four decades. The agency provides emergency shelter for men and young adults and develops and operates permanent supportive housing for men, women, and families with children across Fairfield County.

Pacific House’s portfolio totals 15 homes throughout Stamford, Darien, and Norwalk. Through housing development, supportive services, and community partnerships, Pacific House creates stability and life changing solutions.
"This is a great victory in the fight to end homelessness in the state. Despite its reputation for being an affluent area, there are many people in Fairfield County who struggle to make ends meet," said state Rep. Kadeem Roberts (D-137), chair of the End Homelessness Caucus, in a news release. "Pacific House has served our community well by doing tremendous work for individuals experiencing homelessness. This additional funding will allow them to expand their reach and provide assistance to more people in need."

"The funding for Pacific House is a major win to help the shelter expand its services and continue to provide quality support to those experiencing homelessness in Fairfield County, especially going into the winter season," added state Rep. Eilish Collins Main (D-146). "Pacific House provides essential resources to many individuals facing homelessness, and this additional funding will allow the organization to expand services and continue supporting residents in need. I am thrilled to deliver this funding to Pacific House during a critical time, and I am grateful for the legislature's support to invest in Pacific House and its mission."
Pacific House President & CEO Carmen ColĂłn said the organization was "deeply grateful for this critical investment."
"These flexible funds will allow us to strengthen and expand our services, reaching more men, women, and families with children who are facing housing insecurity," ColĂłn said. "We thank the legislature for recognizing our work and helping us advance our mission to prevent and end homelessness in Fairfield County."
The Pacific House shelter operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and provides two nutritious meals each day.
