Patricia Billie Miller, Francky Trofort, State Representative 145th District
Election Day 2012
During the Democratic Election Day party at Downtown Stamford's The Palms, Patricia Billie Miller addressed the audience softly and with much modesty after learning she was likely the winner in the 145th District race.
"I started this race at an unusual time for me. My father became very ill, and that made campaigning very hard. And then I had someone run hard against me," she said. "And what I learned about me is... I rock. I thank the 144th District for putting their trust in me. We don't have the money, but we had the votes."

Incumbent State Representative for the 145th Distrit Patricia Billie Miller will look to defend her title from newcomer Francky Trofort Tuesday.
Trofort has played the role of challenger before, when the Republican Town Committee member sought to unseat Stamford Board of Representatives member Shella Merritt last year.
Miller worked in the Stamford Housing Authority for 25 years before moving to the state House. If elected, this would be Miller's third term as a Connecticut state Representative.
