Stamford 2015 Election Guide: The Candidates, Polling Places, Sample Ballot

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and we share with you some of the information you'll need to know.

There are more than 57,000 Stamford residents eligible to vote on Election Day to choose candidates for the Board of Education, Board of Finance and in five districts for the Board of Representatives.

Board of Education

Five of the nine board seats are up for election.

Republican candidates are Michael Altamura, Andy George, Nicola Tarzia, John Ciuffo, Jerry Bosak Jr.

Democrat candidates are Angelica Gorrio, David Mannis, Ligia Marroquin, Jennienne Burke, Monica Di Costanzo.

The Green Party candidate is Rolf Maurer.

Petition candidates are Polly Rauh, John Zito.

Board of Finance:

Republican candidates are Christina DellaCamera, Dennis Mahoney, Shelley Michelson

Democratic candidates are David Kooris, Mary Lou Rinaldi, Dudley Williams

Board of Representatives:

District 1: Republican David Watkins

District 2: Incumbent Democrat Virgil de la Cruz, Republican Bill Kemp.

District 9: Incumbent Democrat Rodney Pratt, Republican Alison Tosches.

District 11: Republican Al Fiore, Democrat Alice Liebson.

District 17: Incumbent Democrat Michael Briscoe, Republican Jonathan Hoch.
