Stamford Experienced a 2.2-Magnitude Earthquake Friday
There was some initial concern the event was an explosion.
After a lot of social media activity Friday night in which reports came flooding in of an explosion in Stamfor, the New England Seismic Network announced Saturday the activity was actually a minor earthquake.
According to the Weston Observatory website at Boston College, an incident at roughly 9 p.m. Fridaynight was a 2.2-magnitude earthquake.
