Stamford Health’s Annual Paint the Town Pink Girlfriends Luncheon – Event Recap
Stamford Hospital Foundation hosted an event to benefit Stamford Health's Bennett Cancer Center and Breast Center.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Stamford Health hosted its 20th annual Paint the Town Pink Girlfriends Luncheon on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Italian Center of Stamford. The event brought together over 500 attendees to honor the importance of breast cancer screening, early detection, and the comprehensive breast care services available in our community. Remarks were made by:
- Liz Longmore, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
- Dr. Steven Lo, Director of Medical Oncology & Hematology
- Caroline Simmons, Mayor of Stamford
- Lauren Gulliver, breast cancer survivor (story debuted at event)
- Colin Cosell, EMCEE
Also in attendance were Bennett Cancer Center (BCC), physicians, Stamford Health Breast Center surgeons, like Dr. Sarah Cate, radiologists, like Dr. Mia Kazanjian and Dr. Andrew Shih, staff, and many other Stamford Health leaders and hospital employees. Thanks to generous support from raffles and vendors, the luncheon raised $174,000 to benefit Stamford Health’s Bennett Cancer Center and Breast Center.
A key highlight was the paddle raise, which supported the Beautiful Inside and Out Program. This initiative provides women undergoing cancer treatment with personalized guidance from licensed aestheticians on wig selection and care, skincare, nail care, and styling with scarves and head coverings, empowering them to feel radiant and confident during their journey.
