Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Stamford area. Meet Geraldine Agneto!

STAMFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.
This submission comes from Dina MacDougall who nominated Geraldine Agneto of Stamford.
What makes your Mom extra special?
My Mama — is there enough for a book! The baby of 5 girls who is as selfless as a human comes! My mom has always worked full time — still does for the law firm she started at when she was 17 years old [and she's now going on 62 years! She is Mama of the office and they all look to her for love, advice and her delicious baked goods lol! She was always a class mom for my brother and I when we were in school. But not only was she our Mom she became a Mom to many! To this day the kids from school still run up to her and say, "Mama A' it’s you"! She touches the heart of everyone she comes in contact with. Her love and giving spirit matches no other! Her hugs are as mighty as God's love from her tiny little frame! She is wisdom, grace, love, patience and the best Mama anyone could ask for! I have been blessed to call her my own yet blessed to share her with so many who I have claimed her as their own, too! God made this woman to show others what love is all about! My Mama!
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
My mom deserves the entire world! My parents lost my brother, their firstborn at 3 days old. She has known loss that no mother or father should ever know or feel. Through that pain, she still had my brother and myself. She showed us how to love, to forgive, to know God’s unwavering love. As a mother now myself, I could not imagine that pain. I look at my mother with the upmost respect and honor. She has always been a hard worker, a loving wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She goes beyond for everyone and I only wish I could give her absolutely everything her heart desires. To share who my mother is —there are not enough minutes in a day or words to proclaim what an amazing women she is. I only hope I am and will be half the woman God blessed me with for a mother. Mama, I love you over the rainbow!
Happy Mother's Day to Geraldine Agneto, and thank you for all you do!
