2 Seriously Injured In Moped Crash In Stonington: Reports
A moped struck a pedestrian in Stonington on Saturday evening, according to reports.

STONINGTON, CT — A pedestrian and moped operator were injured in a crash in Stonington on Saturday, according to WTNH News-8.
The accident occurred at 6:25 p.m. when a pedestrian was walking in the area of North Main Street along Route 1. A moped driver traveling in the same direction struck the pedestrian from behind.
The moped then rode along the guardrail and crashed, according to WJAR 10 NBC.

Both were seriously injured. A LifeStar helicopter was initially called for the moped operator, who had life-threatening injuries, but both inured people were ultimately taken by ambulance for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
