Accused Voyeur Charged In Bathroom Recording Case In Pawcatuck: Report
A man is accused of spying on female coworkers at a pizza shop by hiding his phone in a bathroom, according to a report.
STONINGTON, CT — A man was arrested on multiple voyeurism charges, according to Stonington police.
Michael Arruda, 46, of East Providence, Rhode Island, was charged with 12 counts of conspiracy to commit voyeurism with intent to arouse or satisfy sexual desire.
Arruda is accused of secretly recording nine female coworkers using an employee bathroom at the Pizza Lady restaurant on Liberty Street in Pawcatuck, The Day of New London reported.

Arruda is accused of hiding his phone on a bathroom shelf to make recordings, according to The Day.
He is also facing charges for possession of child pornography in Rhode Island. He was arrested by members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on Jan. 2, according to The Newport Dispatch.

Arruda was extradited from Rhode Island to Connecticut on the voyeurism charges, according to police records.
He was arrested April 16. He was released on $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
