Construction Project Will Lead To I-95 Lane Shift In Stonington

The lane shift will begin at the end of this month.

STONINGTON, CT — There will be a lane shift on I-95 northbound between the exit 89 on-ramp to just past the bridge over Deans Mill Road, according to the Town of Stonington.

The Department of Transportation announced that the lane shift will be in effect starting the week of March 31.

Pavement line striping and traffic control devices, including concrete barriers, drums and signage, will guide drivers through the work zone.

During this period, the Scenic Overlook Area will be closed for no more than eight weeks to allow for construction.

The $38 million construction project was awarded to American Industries and is scheduled for completion Nov. 25.
